The Cyclones Men's 45's proved a hit in the Burdekin over the weekend, conducting a skills session for local players on the Saturday, as part of the group's NTL training camp.

NTL Early Bird Discount

Touch Representative Pathway for the next 12 months

At the NQTA AGM/GCM, held on Saturday, it was decided that between now and March 2016, NQ Touch will send representative teams to specific events.

Easter Trading Hours

The North Queensland Touch Association would like to wish all of our members a happy and safe Easter holiday. Please be advised that the office in Townsville will be closed from Thursday 2nd April and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday 7th April.

Future Representative Accreditation Requirements

At a recent meeting of the NQTA Executive and Technical committees, the new Representative Accreditation Policy was approved, requiring all referees and coaches at representative level to hold a minimum accreditation levels, dependant on the level of the event.

The new policy will come into effect on January 1, 2015, and will apply to all representative events involving the NQTA, including the National Touch League and NQ Open & Senior Regional Championships.

Get in the Game - Get Started

Get Started Round 5 will now open on Wednesday January 28, 2015.


The program provides eligible children and young people aged 5 up to 18 who can least afford to join a sport or recreation club with a voucher valued at up to $150 for membership and/or registration fees. It should be noted that vouchers are issued on a first come, first serve basis; therefore there is no guarantee that a child or young/person will obtain a voucher.

Nominations Open for the Inaugural Bundaberg Cup

The inaugural Bundaberg Cup will take place on Saturday, 7 February and Sunday, 8 February, 2015 at the home of Bundaberg Touch – Greg Duncan Fields.

The event was announced by the Premier of Queensland, Campbell Newman MP, in January 2014 and Touch Football Australia is now taking registrations for the event.
